Library Card

Hodgkins residents need a picture ID and proof of their current address to obtain a library card. Children of Hodgkins residents, over five years of age, may get a library card with a parent's permission. There is no charge for a resident card.

Non-residents, from communities that do not have their own library, may purchase a Hodgkins Public Library card. We use the Tax Base Method to calculate the annual price of a non-resident card. If you rent, you pay 15% of one months rent for a library card. Home owners may contact the library for the specific cost of a library card.

All Hodgkins Public Library cards are valid for reciprocal use at other participating libraries in the Metropolitan Library System and other Illinois libraries.
