TEEN READ WEEK
October 7 - October 13, 2018
Join us all week for exciting events! Staring Sunday, patrons can enter a raffle when they check-out a YA book!

Disney Day

All Ages - You’re never too old for Disney! Make your afternoon magical by joining us for a Disney movie marathon with themed activities and popcorn.

Knd & up -  Join us every Wednesday for an hour of fun! We will have crafts, board games, movies, origami and lots of other activities. If you’re between the ages of 12-15 and would like to volunteer please contact us ASAP!

5th grade & up - Are a crafty kind of person? Join our DIY Craft Club to share and learn ideas from others. There will be a different project each time and supplies will be provided.
 
National Teddy Bear Day
Sun. Sep. 9 @ 1:00 - 3:00 PM

All Ages - Stop in for some fun teddy treats. Take a picture of you and your teddy. Share it with us so it can be posted on our Facebook page.

Grandparents Day
Sun. Sep. 9 @ 1:00 

All Ages - Bring your grandparents to the library to make special cards to share with them. Make a few extras for other grandparents in our community!

CD Art
Sun. Sep. 9 @ 3:00 - 4:00 PM 

Join us in converting some CDs into great art work that can be put up on your walls! Very easy and few simple steps will make your masterpiece shine through. Registration required. Limit 10.
 
International Dot Day
Sat. Sep. 15 @ 3:30 PM
All Ages Stop by the library to create projects and enjoy sweet treats inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

Family Lotería

All Ages - Bring friends and family to the library to play Lotería or bingo and win awesome prizes. Refreshments and fun will be provided. 
 
Talk Like a Pirate Day

All Ages - Come to the library with your best pirate impression ready. Pull a pirate phrase from the jar and give it a try. Everyone who tries will receive a pirate loot bag.

All Ages - Skip expensive movie theater tickets and bring friends, siblings, parents and grandparents to movie night at the library. Popcorn, pizza and drinks will be provided.
 
   Fall Festival

All Ages - Come on down to the library for our 1st annual    fall fest. Make a scarecrow to decorate your yard and enjoy delicious fall related food too! Registration required. Limit 25 families.
 

Third Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Oct. 1 - 25, 2018

All Ages - Beginning on Sunday, October 1st, you can “check out” a pumpkin at the library! You don’t need to return it—just send us a picture of you and your decorated pumpkin for our Facebook page. Check-out a pumpkin from Oct. 1st – Oct. 25th – Submit pictures by Oct. 31st!

Glow in the Dark Party

Knd & up - Let’s party in the dark! We will be making crafts and activities using glow in the dark materials.

Behind the Curtain: An Insider's Look at Financial Aid

FREE SEMINAR for parents of High School Students!  While everyone is welcome, we encourage both parents to attend. Registration Required - Space Limited.
 
Dia de los Muertos
Fri. Nov. 2 @ 5:00 PM

All Ages - Come and celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with us! Learn how people celebrate this holiday in Mexico. We will be making an altar and sugar skulls. After the activity, we will watch Coco and have churros and hot chocolate.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Sat. Nov. 17 @ 3:00 PM

5th grade & up - Give your table a nice look this Thanksgiving! Join us to make a beautiful centerpiece for you and your family to enjoy this season. Supplies will be provided. Registration required. Limit 10.
